Yet another Proms in the Car Park, sploit by the inclemant weather but a rousing indoor singing session of proms music ended the concert in great style yet again.
Yet another memorable night of Christmas celebrations at the band's home - Baildon Hall Club. The 12 Days of Christmas always goes down well with audience participation!
A wonderful afternoon of music provided by our woodwind ensemble for the residents of The Gables Care Home in Silsden, particularly for one of our older members.
It was great to play at the Cafe in Cliffe Castle Keighley to end the band's events for the summer season.

Bradford Concert Band were delighted to return to Roberts Park Saltaire to play on the bandstand to an enthusiastic crowd who had come out in the hot sunshine to sit in the shade and listen to the band.

There was a warm welcome from the small band of followers in the park and many thanks to the Bowling Club for their hospitality.
This year, Yorkshire Day was celebrated in Keighley, where Bradford Concert Band rehearse.
It was great to be part of the day's celebrations on a glorious sunny day in the heart of Keighley.
It was great for the band to be back at Pudsey Park following several years absence due to Covid.
The sun showed its face and the audience were appreciative of the variety of music played.

We had a great sunny afternoon playing to a small appreciative audience in the centre of New Wortley recreation ground, the bowling club providing us with refreshments during the interval.
A great evening playing for Baildon Hall Club members with all the traditional Proms tunes, Jerusalem, Pomp & Circumstance, Fantasia on British Sea Songs etc. Pie & Peas at the break kept us going.

A thoroughly enjoyable evening for all the band celebrating both 60th & 80th birthdays' which had taken place over the 2 years of the Covid 19 pandemic.
A memorable quiet remembrance service at St Josephs Catholic Church Bradford hosted by Walsh Funeral Services to remember all those who had passed away during 2021.

Bradford Concert Band (BCB) are delighted to announce the appointment of Tim Gillies as our new Musical Director. Tim has recently completed his Masters degree in Musicology at Leeds University. He will start conducting the Band in early November 2017.
He brings with him many years of experience in leading musical ensembles, having conducted the Leeds University Concert Band, Chamber Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra, as well as directing Mozart’s Don Giovanni in February 2017.
Welcoming Tim to the band, Chair, Richard Powne, said “We are absolutely delighted to appoint Tim as our new MD. We are really looking forward to working with him to drive BCB forward over the years ahead. He will bring a dynamic, fresh and youthful approach as part of our overall programme of reinvigorating BCB.
“We would also like to offer our heartfelt thanks to long time BCB member, Steve Williams, who has led the band for the past two years and has decided to take a break from conducting BCB. We hope to see him back playing with BCB before too long.”
Commenting on his appointment, Tim said “As BCB enters an important transitionary phase, I am extremely excited to work with the band’s talented and devoted members and direct them into the future.”

2015 will be an exciting year for the Bradford Metropolitan Concert Band. On 6th April we celebrated our 40th Anniversary of the formation of the band. We are looking forward to another great year of concerts and other occasions to celebrate.
We are currently organising various functions, including social events to which former players, supporters and their families will be invited, a band weekend trip away and of course a 40th Anniversary Gala Concert.
